I think the most abstract artists also paint representional arts well. The abstract artists choose abstraction because abstract arts do not have rules, so the artists are able to express their minds more.

2. Who was Clement Greenberg? How did his ideas shape modern art?

Clement Greenberg was American essaylist who associated with modern art. He thought arts can be simple. (Also, photos can replaces arts. )Arts are not necessary to have meaning because observers will think about it. Modern artists should express themselves by using various textures, colours, and applications.
